Events Scheduled to Celebrate Earth Week

Ohio University will help launch Athens County Earth Week with “Athens Beautification Day” on Sunday, April 17. The event, held on OU’s College Green from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., will kick off a week of events open to the community.

Athens County’s Earth Week Extravaganza is a collaboration among the OU Office of Sustainability, WOUB Public Media, Rural Action, Athens Beautification Day, UpGrade Athens County, Athens Community Arts, Parks and Recreation, Little Fish Brewery, Athens Food Policy Council, Third Sun Solar, Kleinpenny Rentals, Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery, and Camp Oty’Okwa in Hocking Hills.
